POCA IDIQ Contracts, LA Corps of Engineers

These contracts were for Performance Oriented Construction Activity (POCA), IDIQ Contract, primarily for use in the Los Angeles District, but may be used for work at other locations within the South Pacific Division.

Scope of Work

Task orders issued under these six POCA contracts were all performed at Edwards AFB and included:

  • Demolishing an old fire station, military family housing and other structures
  • Demolishing infrastructure including capping and sealing water mains, removal of fire hydrants, capping sewer mains, capping gas mains and installing a new 4" gas main line
  • Demolishing power poles and lines
  • Demolishing housing perimeter block wall
  • Asbestos and lead based paint abatement
  • Removing power pole transformers
  • Pulverizing existing streets and rough grading
  • Rerouting cable TV overhead lines
  • Relocating transformers
  • Installing new power poles and 3 phase power
  • Installing and repairing base perimeter fencing
  • Repairing HVAC at a test pilot school
  • Repairing potable water lines
  • Repairing building interiors
  • Repairing a softball field
  • Designing and installing irrigation system
  • Installing all-season sod
  • Place concrete footings for sun shade
  • Provide power to and install irrigation controls
  • Installing rodent barriers
  • Trapping and relocating protected burrowing animals

The 11 task orders ranged in value from $275,090 to $2,893,910.62.

On these task orders, T. Simons Co., Inc. self-performed the following:

  • Supervision
  • Quality Control
  • Safety management
  • Demolition and miscellaneous site work
